- Grants will generally be up to £500 in a year but may be increased if appropriate.
- Grants will be paid in two stages – 90% on approval and 10% when all the grant conditions are satisfied.
- Grants will generally be paid to voluntary groups/organisations but statutory bodies, such as schools, may apply for enrichment activities.
- Applications will only be considered from groups/organisations based in Stroud district.
- Applications must be submitted on the appropriate form before the end of February and spent during that year.
- Failure to adhere to these conditions or significant changes to the approved project will result in the grant being suspended and funds being required to be returned.
- If your project is particularly financially successful, up to 20% of your grant will be due to the Stroud Festival for distribution in future years.
- Applicants may be asked for additional information in advance of a decision.
- Applicants will be informed of the decision of the Stroud Festival Directors within six weeks of receipt of the application form.
- Successful applicants must advertise the activity/event as being part of the Stroud Arts Festival in publicity, programmes and tickets, by including the official logo.
- Two complementary tickets/invitations and a programme must be sent to the Stroud Festival Committee two weeks in advance.
- Where possible, space must be allocated for a display stand (this will be supplied) promoting Stroud Festival at the activity/event.
- After the event, a pro-forma (provided with the first grant payment) must be completed and returned to Stroud Festival – this details the numbers of people involved in the project and the numbers attending activities and events. The final 10% grant payments will be distributed on receipt of this information.
- The decision of the Stroud Festival Board is final on all matters.
